NSLEOA memberships

Active Membership

Active members shall consist of law enforcement officers, with the power of arrest, in the service of the Federal Government, the State of North Carolina, and Bureau or Agency thereof, or any County, Municipality, or other local government subdivision

within the State of North Carolina; or any officer certified by the North

Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission.  

Associate Membership

Associate members shall consist of supportive personnel in the service of the Federal Government, the State of North Carolina, and Bureau or Agency thereof; or any County, Municipality, or other local government subdivision within the State of North Carolina. 

Life membership

Life members shall consist of an active or associate member who has retired in good standing after serving twenty (20) consecutive years in the Association or retired from his/her Federal, North Carolina State or local agency, because of a physical disability/medical disability/medical disability/psychological disability in the line of duty, with a minimum of five (5) years consecutive in the Association. 

honorary membership

Non-law enforcement advocates who have demonstrated significant support for advancing the law enforcement profession and or the Association.
